“WE are disappointed with journalist!” said Paring Waluyo.
“Why?” ask me. “We hate when we knew several of them didn’t held a brief for us,” he answer. “Who’s journalist that your means?” I ask him again.
Waluyo explained, we knew several journalist has been reporting about Lapindo. But, not for published. “How do you know?” I ask him.
He said, several journalist just looking for money after they was recording about Lapindo issues. “They got money after sell Lapindo mudflow issues to Bakrie,” said Waluyo.

Many media has been published about Lapindo mudflow tragedy. Media always monitoring about compensation payment for victims about 80 percent that must pay by Lapindo.
But, information via television or newspaper unfair. The information report just make people mind if Lapindo problems at Sidoarjo was enough.
Many people said, Porong’s problems has handle by government and Lapindo company.
But, actually, Waluyo stressed, that’s wrong. “If you want to know, let’s go to Sidoarjo with us. You can look many problems that never published,” Waluyo said.

Lapindo’s reason is impossible cause National Land Agency has been sending letter to the National Land Agency in Sidoarjo on 24 march 2008 about implementation prosedur problem solution.
On last Friday, Lapindo victims meeting with government and Lapindo representation organized by The National Commision for Human Rights.
They were discussed about Lapindo responsible to pay victim’s loss because hot mud. But, Lapindo disagree to sign agreement. Lapindo didn’t want to sign four agreements that became agreement between victims and government.
Four agreements are Lapindo victims who have land ownership certificate like Petok D, Letter C, and SK Gogol that can be requirement shell and buy land and victims house, that included about extrication land ownership rights according meeting’s agreement on 2 May 2008, with Social Minister, the body of national land, National Land Agency, Minarak Lapindo Jaya, and representation of citizen who became Lapindo victims from four village.
Second, payment about 80 percent cash money must pay before the end of contract period according shell and buy engagement when signing 20 percent compensation for victims.Third, land has bough must be state asset and fourth, next process PT Lapindo can show rights according law.
Vice President External Lapindo Brantas Inc Yuniwati Teryana said, Lapindo disagree to sign that agreement because without base rule of law. Meanwhile, victims said, that meeting is legal because followed by Lapindo, government, The National Commision for Human Rights and Lapindo victims.

They urged Lapindo to immediately complete payment of 20 percent of the required compensation to the victims, whose lands were engulfed by the mudflow. It also stipulated the remaining 80 percent should be paid before the end of a two-year house leasing arrangement.
“We want it to be truly realized. Many victims have not received 20 percent installment, let alone the 80 percent," Paring said after a press conference at Komnas HAM headquarters.

He said the victims no longer wanted to deal with PT Lapindo Brantas and PT Minarak Lapindo Jaya and would leave the government to deal with them.
"We can't force Lapindo (to pay), so we will leave it to the government, which has the power," he said. He said victims would monitor the implementation of the agreement at the site.
"We will sue if they fail to comply with it," Paring said.
The agreement also stipulates the government will provide a clean water facility and build drainage for villagers whose lands were not included in the map of affected zones.
But, Yuniwati said, Lapindo just as invitation not to sign agreement. “We just as accompany BPLS. Our capacity has invited. So, may be in the other forum, I think can make different situation. Victims also hope about assurance.”
Yuniwati said, we just as excecutor. Whatever agreement, Lapindo should implementation. “But, in this time, is not our capacity to sign,” she said.
Lapindo’s reject made meeting be confuse. Hot mud victim urged Lapindo should signing agreement. They assess, that meeting is legal because government representation involved. “What more to discuss. Our jugde is state, government. No Minarak, Lapindo or victim. We must be loyal with law and agreement,” said Paring.
Bambang Eko Hn from National Land Agency explained, compensation process must according purchase and sale role is difficult. According to him, compensation process needed long time cause purchase and sale agreement decision by officer who as maker land certificate.
"It can be more easier, made extrication. Purchase and sale according Presidential Decree decipherable purchase and sale and rights extrication. Don’t purchase and sale decisiton by officer. That is no problem,” Said Bambang.
On Thursday (4/9), six victims who became repsentation Lapindo victims came to
the Commission on Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (Kontras) office. They hope, Kontras and several activists non government organization (NGO) can help to urged government responsible.
Many NGO respect with Lapindo victims. They are Ciliwung Merdeka, Lembaga Studi dan Advokasi Masyarakat, Gerakan Menutup Lumpur Lapindo, Human Rights Working Group), Indonesian Center for Enviromental Law, Imparsial, Institut Hijau Indonesia, Jaringan Relawan Kemanusiaan, Jaringan Advokasi Tambang, Kontras, Lapis Budaya Indonesia, LBH Masyarakat, Lembaga Hukum dan HAM Keadilan Indonesia, Pergerakan Kaum Muda Indonesia, Pulih, Satu Dunia, Urban Poor Consortium, Uplink, Wahana Interaksi, Wahana Lingkungan Hidup (Walhi) Yappika, Yayasan Air Putih, dan Yayasan Tifa.
They made the coalition for Juctice Lapindo’s victims. The hope the government evaluation implementation Presidential Decree No.14/2007. They urged government to complete payment for victims that long time didn’t got compensation.
Coalition also urged President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) to give social assurance to change material loss, health assurance, secuarity assurance, and safety for victims, and to continue efforted to stop mudflow.
They deplored, if until now, government effort to help victims is not clear. Until now, about 1.364 documents not yet got 20 percent payment from sell and buy asset, and about 7.500 documents or 68 percent not yet got 80 percents payment compensation.
They also exposed, 4 victims was dead because breathe poisonous gas.
